NDT Services provides Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Examinations of turbine rotors & casings. Visual examination of inaccessible areas
is carried out using flexible fiberscope. We also conduct In Situ Metallographic inspection by taking replicas from representative spots to
study the condition of rotor for material degradation due to elevated temperature operations. The extent of progressive degradation due to
creep is determined. Metallographs are viewed & interpreted by highly experienced metallurgist and the findings are presented to the
customer with comments on remaining life, based on the metallographic observations recorded during MPI of rotor & casings. Studs &
bolts are examined using ultrasonic flaw detection.
